9″ x 9″ x 3″ Note: Joinery is photographed using a box with contrasting woods for greater visibility.
They measure 7 3/4 inches long, by six inches wide, by 3 and 3/8 inches at the highest point. Made of cocobolo, one of the finest woods in the rosewood family, a wood so dense that it sinks in water. All edges are rounded, including the bottom, and sanded and finished to a high standard, so the box feels silky smooth to handle. The interior divisions use traditional (and time consuming) joinery to join them to the body of the jewelry box – a stronger join than modern methods. The sides of the box are cut from the same piece of figured rosewood, so the wood grain pattern is the same on both sides
